Village is a traditional village in Bangli Regency, each house has a garden
of a similar width around it and there are no walls between the houses. Have a
look at the every house then you will see that all the wall is made from the same
material, mostly, clay and the roof is came from the bamboo that took from the
village's bamboo forest.

Village is a Bali Aga village-one of the few Balinese communities to resist
the Majapahit invasion of 1343. It is a walled village consisting of two rows
of identical houses. This is the only place in Indonesia where double-weaving
ikat, Geringsing, is produced. The village is also famous for its lontar sacred
books, traditional Balinese palm-leaf books. |
