Canggu Puri Merta was built in two
phases; first phase was in 1994 took the landscape of a river in rice fields north of the Bale Oberoi. |

The villas are laid out following the traditional Balinese building law, Asta Bumi, Hasta Kosala Kosali and modified for modern age. |
Each of the
three courtyards has its own shrine in the North and East. One enter the compounds (abode of Lord Brahma, the protector) and beds are aligned with their heads to either North the Holly mount Agung or the East (Lord Siwa). |
